Well, the paint is awesome. The motor was redone (bored cylinder, new rod, piston and rings). I pulled the top end off and had to shim rocker arms, adjust tappets, etc. There was a loose head bolt I fixed and adjusted everything. Clutch wouldn't work. I fixed that. After one day I am ready for the new sprockets, chain and battery. they should be here on Thursday. I am happy with it.

Looks great to me! Mine is in a hundred pieces yet. I need new valve seats, do you know if there is a retrofit for hard seats as I think the unleaded gas has taken it's toll on mine. I just got the paint bought today for my 1963 H model.

They use enough oil that they are generally OK. Lancaster has new seats and Leslie (Moto-Italia) probably has them, too. The bikes are easy to put together. You could probably have new seats made of a harder steel at any good machine shop. I'd try to lap them first.

I am thinking one might have to buy the new seats to get the dimensions to make new harder ones..you think I should just put in new ones and dont worry about the unleaded problem?

Exactly. I haven't noticed any problem. If you get harder seats, it will just wear the valves faster. Unleaded gas is much more of a problem because the ethanol, which is in most, dries out rubber like the tip of the float valve and other seals. Use OEM and you'll be fine. If this was an issue, someone would already make aftermarket. Would be easy to make them.
