Hi from Denver
Hi all,
Garrett from Denver here. Been into Aermacchis for quite awhile, though I don't own a Sprint (yet).
I did build a little SX250 Street Tracker that's a bunch of fun to ride.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing what goes on here.

RE: Hi from Denver
That is VERY, VERY COOL! Welcome to the forum! Do you race that, or is it just for looks. It looks like it would haul a$$.
What year is that?
Again, welcome. We appreciate your presence here.
Just for looks, and it's pretty fast! Once I get the jetting worked out, whoo!
It's a '76 SX250. Been in the family since 1979.
It's pretty much set up to race, if I ever get so inclined. Unfotunately, the last time I looked, AHRMA didn't have an appropriate class for it.
Thanks for the welcome! I look forward to seeing what's up around here.

Welcome. Its nice to see someone put that much custom effort into a project. What motor is that?

RE: Hi from Denver

It's a stock Aermacchi/Harley SX250 2 stroker. I removed the oil injector pump and fabbed a cover for it, and a plug for the tach drive. Added a K&N filter and a Jemco CR250 downpipe, and let 'er rip!
Big difference in performance!
Thinking that my next project will be to find a Sprint engine. There's a guy here in Denver, vintagehotshoe, that sells replica Sonicweld rigid flat track frames. There's probably no way to get a Sprint engine in one of them, but it seems like it might be fun for my first Sprint project if it'll work.
Thanks for the compliments, guys!

Oooh yea! I always wondered why I haven't seen a Rotax street tracker before. That'd be really cool.
Here's another street tracker I built:

Guess I'm obsessed with the style.
